Draftline records how the text is written. What is recorded?

Everything written in the shared document, with who wrote it and when
When text is pasted, and whether it matches an AI answer
Your questions to the AI assistant and its answers
When you leave the editor window and for how long (not what you do elsewhere)
Voice or video comments, if you choose to record any

Everyone in the group, and the teacher or supervisor if there is one, can see this and replay how the text was written.

Versions on this device

Saved in this browser about every 10 minutes while you write, so you can always get back to earlier text, even without a connection. Bringing a version back makes it a new file; the group's text is not changed.

Your personal code

To open your work on another computer or browser, you need this code with your name. It's also on the Group tab.

Supervisor view · the group's page as the students see it. The text is read-only; select a passage to comment on it as Supervisor, or reply in Discuss.

Select text, then Comment or Suggest. When someone changes your text, you can agree, discuss or revert.

Mentioned when pasting

A shared AI facilitator: everyone in the group sees the questions and answers. Its text goes into the document only when a groupmate agrees.

No questions yet. Try one of the buttons above, or ask your own question.

Question for the AI facilitator

⌘↵ to send

Your teacher has turned the AI off for this group.

Where our ideas come from

Who brought which concepts, sources and AI answers into the text, who took them up, and where they ended up. Made from what Draftline records, not by AI. Your supervisor sees the same map. Click a node, then “Show in the text”. Enlarge it to see more.

Writing session

What did we get done? What's next, and who does it?

You can all write here at the same time.

Who's writing what

The writing looks uneven. Talk about how you share drafting, editing and discussing. Words in the text are only one part of collaborating.
